- First design memory: Helping my sister design a “stage” for a neighborhood play in our basement….I was 6 or 7 years old.
- Why I should win NNTMH Designer of the year?
I hope that I win because my work is creative, exciting and people like what they see.
- What would be your ultimate dream design project?
I would love to work on a boutique hotel….pick out everything from the beds to the shampoo….WOW… that would be FUN! I would make it super funky and fun…
- When designing, what can’t you live without?
My Sharpie marker….and original art!
- At what point of the day do you feel most inspired?
Gosh…probably the morning…after I have had the “nectar of the gods” …coffee!
- Name a design trend that should go away? I may get kicked for this…but ..I am so tired of the “chest of drawers” vanity in the bathroom. It makes me crazy! (but I will do it if it makes YOU happy!)
- State one thing that others don’t know about you.
I always see triple or quadruple numbers on digital clocks….at least twice a day.
Like 2:22 and 11:11 oh and 3:33….crazy. My niece does it too!
- What did you aspire to be as a child?
I always told my family that I wanted to be a bear….No…I have not analyzed that one yet.
- Strangest design request:
I did not really think this was that strange….but.. I had matching upholstered beds made for a little girls room and her dog! They turned out so cute…I even had the bedding made to match. Wish I had taken a picture of that ….darn!
- You want me to design around that? Have to ponder this one…nothing comes to mind…maybe I have blocked it out.
- My secret to design: Do what makes YOU happy ….
- What I plan to do with my $25,000: Well…. if the tax man wasn’t looking I would dive into a business venture….But…I know he is watching and that sum will dwindle in size quite a bit. So, give a little and save a little…That would be my plan!

TV Show: I don’t have cable…but I loved renting the past seasons of Weeds..and Dexter.
Room to design: Powder room…It can be the most fun in the smallest of space…People tend to loosen up a bit for that room… I always tell my clients …it is the 2 minute room…..so it needs to be WOW!
Thing in your home: A gorgeous painting my Dad gave me…. and a giant ceramic pear my sister gave me….(I gave her one too) so we have a “pair of pears”… LOL …so… that was funny to me.
Hobbies: junk shopping….crafting….making mini ham biscuits…yep..that’s a hobby.
Design tip: This is a quote from my idol …designer Jonathan Adler..”You should have something inappropriate in every room.” I just love that!!!
